Human Chemokine C-X-C-Motif Receptor 5 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human CXCR5 (Chemokine C-X-C-Motif Receptor 5) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with a colourimetric endpoint read at 450 nm, and has a total run time of 4 hours 30 minutes.

The workflow relies on an antibody specific for CXCR5 pre-coated onto the plate, a biotinylated anti-CXCR5 detection antibody and an HRP-Avidin reporter. TMB substrate produces a blue product that turns yellow after the addition of acidic stop solution, with the intensity of the yellow colour directly proportional to the amount of CXCR5 captured in each well. Concentration is calculated by reading the absorbance at 450 nm and comparing values to a standard curve.

Sensitivity is <0.055 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml. Sample recovery values (n=5) are 80%-102% (mean 91%) for serum, 81%-100% (mean 90%) for EDTA plasma and 80%-89% (mean 84%) for heparin plasma. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the product should not be used past the expiration date.
