Human Charcot Leyden Crystal Protein ELISA Kit

The Antibodies.com sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Charcot Leyden Crystal Protein (Galectin 10) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

A 96-well microplate is pre-coated with an antibody specific for Galectin 10. Standards and samples are added to the wells and the target binds the immobilized capture antibody. After washing, a biotinylated anti-Galectin 10 detection antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the yellow colour is proportional to the amount of Galectin 10 captured in each well, and concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

The product range is 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.128 ng/ml. Reported recovery ranges are 80–102% for serum, 81–100% for EDTA plasma and 80–89% for heparin plasma. The assay is for research use only and is not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic use.
