Human Cerebellin 1 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human CBLN1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. An antibody specific for CBLN1 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where CBLN1 present binds to the immobilized antibody. Following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-CBLN1 Antibody is added, which binds the captured CBLN1 in each well. An HRP-Avidin conjugate is then added and incubated. After further washing, TMB substrate solution is used to visualize the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of CBLN1 captured in each well, and the concentration is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader against the standard curve.

Reported specifications include an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of less than 0.055 ng/ml. The assay time is 4h 30m. Recovery from spiked samples (n=5) is reported as 80%-102% (average 91%) for serum, 81%-100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma, and 80%-89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. Reported linearity of dilution values (n=5) across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions are 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101% and 92-97% for serum; 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101% and 79-108% for EDTA plasma; and 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105% and 89-91% for heparin plasma. The detection method is colourimetric, performed on a pre-coated microplate platform of 12 x 8 well strips. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
