Human Cementum Protein 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this assay is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Cementum Protein 1 (CEMP1) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. It uses a sandwich ELISA format with reactivity for human samples.

The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where CEMP1 is captured by an immobilized specific antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-CEMP1 Antibody binds the captured analyte, followed by incubation with HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate solution is then used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue colour that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of CEMP1 captured in each well, and concentration is calculated by reading absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader and referring to a standard curve.

Key specifications include a sensitivity of less than 0.124 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, and are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
