Human Cellular Retinoic Acid Binding Protein 2 ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com provides a sandwich ELISA for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Cellular Retinoic Acid Binding Protein 2 (CRABP2) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The plate is pre-coated with an antibody specific for CRABP2, and bound analyte is detected using a biotinylated anti-CRABP2 antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is added and the enzymatic reaction is visualised after addition of an acidic stop solution, producing a colour change read at 450 nm in a microplate reader that is proportional to the amount of CRABP2 captured in each well.

According to the manufacturer's specification, the assay has a sensitivity of less than 0.114 ng/ml and a working range of 0.312–20 ng/ml. The total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes, and the procedure is read on a colorimetric microplate reader. Spiked recovery values reported for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma are 80–102% (average 91%), 81–101% (average 91%) and 80–89% (average 84%) respectively, with dilution linearity data provided across 1:2 to 1:16 sample dilutions for each of these matrices.
