Human CD5 Antigen Like Protein ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com provides this sandwich ELISA kit for the in vitro quantitative determination of human CD5L/CT-2 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for CD5L/CT-2. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-CD5L/CT-2 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate solution is then used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution. The concentration of CD5L/CT-2 is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader and referring to the standard curve.

The assay has a product range of 62.5-4000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 28.6 pg/ml. It is run on a pre-coated microplate format of 12 x 8 well strips with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Reported recovery values average 91% for serum (range 83%-100%), 94% for EDTA plasma (range 90%-99%) and 96% for heparin plasma (range 91%-101%), with dilution linearity data reported at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across the same sample types. The kit includes lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, and components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
