Human CD40L ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human CD40L in cell culture supernatant, serum and plasma. The assay uses a quantitative sandwich immunoassay format in which a monoclonal antibody specific for sCD40L is immobilised onto microwells; standards or samples together with an HRP-linked monoclonal antibody specific for sCD40L are then pipetted into the wells. After incubation and washing, a substrate solution reacts with HRP and colour develops in proportion to the amount of sCD40L bound. The reaction is stopped by addition of acid and the optical density is measured with a microplate reader.

No significant cross-reactivity has been reported, and the kit can measure both native and recombinant human sCD40L. The stated assay range is 156.25 – 10000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 11.3 pg/ml, and average recovery from serum samples is given as 101%. Detection is colorimetric on a microplate platform; the kit should be stored at +4°C and not used past its expiration date.
