Description

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human CD163 in cell culture supernatant, serum and plasma. This Antibodies.com kit shows no significant cross-reactivity and can assay both native and recombinant human sCD163. The assay covers a product range of 62.50 - 4000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <4.39 pg/ml.

The kit is based on a quantitative sandwich ELISA technique in which a monoclonal antibody specific for human sCD163 is immobilized onto microwells. Standards or samples are pipetted into the wells, followed by the addition of a biotin-linked detect antibody specific for sCD163, allowing sCD163 present in the sample to be bound by the immobilized antibody and detect antibody during the first incubation. After removal of any unbound substances, streptavidin-HRP is added for a second incubation. Following washing, the substrate solution reacts with HRP and color develops in proportion to the amount of sCD163 bound by the immobilized antibody.

Color development is stopped by the addition of acid, and the optical density value is measured by a microplate reader. Detection is colorimetric on a microplate platform. Suitable sample types are cell culture supernatant, serum and plasma. The kit should be stored at +4°C and not used past the expiration date.
