Human Caveolin 2 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Caveolin-2 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, in which an antibody specific for Caveolin-2 captures the target from standards and test samples. A Biotinylated Anti-Caveolin-2 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate, with colorimetric detection via TMB substrate read at 450 nm on a microplate reader.

The kit has a sensitivity of <0.056 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Reagent recovery has been validated in serum (n=5, 80% – 102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, 81% – 100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (n=5, 80% – 89%, average 84%). Linearity has been demonstrated across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 for each sample type. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the product is intended for research use only.
