Human Cathepsin Z ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Cathepsin Z in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Cathepsin Z, and employs a biotinylated detection antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a colour change from blue to yellow after addition of the acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

The kit has a stated assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.059 ng/ml. The pre-coated microplate is supplied as 12 x 8 well strips, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components include lyophilized standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, Wash Buffer (30X), Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution, and adhesive plate sealers. Components should be stored at either +4°C or −20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.

In validation testing, recovery averaged 91% in serum (range 80%–102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%, n=5), and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80%–89%, n=5). Linearity was assessed at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across the same sample types. The product is intended for research use only and is not for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
