Human Cathepsin L ELISA Kit

The assay is performed on a pre-coated microplate supplied as 12 x 8 well strips, with colourimetric detection read at 450 nm using a microplate reader. Total assay time is 4h 30m.

The stated product range is 62.5-4000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 21.9 pg/ml. The assay principle uses an antibody specific for Cathepsin L pre-coated onto the plate; standards and samples are added and bound by the immobilized antibody, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Cathepsin L/MEP Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm and the concentration is calculated from the standard curve.
