Human Cathepsin D ELISA Kit

The Antibodies.com Human Cathepsin D ELISA Kit is a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) designed for the quantitative determination of human Cathepsin D in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other biological fluids.

According to the manufacturer, the kit offers a sensitivity of < 10 pg/ml and an assay range of 156–10,000 pg/ml. The antibody pair is reported to be specific for Cathepsin D, with no cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants. Detection is colorimetric, with absorbance measured at 450 nm on a microplate reader.

The 4-hour protocol uses a pre-coated microtiter plate, a biotinylated detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, and TMB substrate. After addition of acidic stop solution, the intensity of the yellow product is directly proportional to the Cathepsin D concentration, which is calculated against the standard curve.
