Human Cathepsin C ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Cathepsin C in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Cathepsin C. Standards and samples are added to the wells, where Cathepsin C binds to the immobilized capture antibody. Following incubation and washing, a biotinylated anti-Cathepsin C detection antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The resulting colour change is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with absorbance proportional to Cathepsin C concentration. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

The kit has a sensitivity of 0.105 ng/ml and a measurable range of 0.312–20 ng/ml. It is supplied with a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and plate sealers, with components stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. According to validation data, recovery in serum averaged 91% (range 80%–102%, n=5), in EDTA plasma averaged 90% (range 81%–100%, n=5), and in heparin plasma averaged 84% (range 80%–89%, n=5).
