Human Caspase 7 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Caspase-7 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay employs a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Caspase-7, followed by incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-Caspase-7 Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate and read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with Caspase-7 concentration calculated against a standard curve. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Performance characteristics include a product range of 0.312–20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of less than 0.121 ng/ml. Spike-and-recovery testing in serum (n=5) yielded 80–102% recovery with an average of 91%; EDTA plasma (n=5) showed 81–100% recovery averaging 90%; and heparin plasma (n=5) showed 80–89% recovery averaging 84%. Linearity-of-dilution testing across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions gave 74–107% in serum, 79–108% in EDTA plasma, and 82–105% in heparin plasma.

The kit includes a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solutions A and B, Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers. Components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
