Human Caspase 3 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Caspase-3 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and the absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader, with the concentration of Caspase-3 calculated against a standard curve.

The product range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.060 ng/ml. Standards and samples are captured by an immobilised anti-Caspase-3 antibody, detected with a biotinylated anti-Caspase-3 antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate, and visualised with TMB substrate that turns yellow after addition of stop solution. The total assay time is 4h 30m, and kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.

Spike-and-recovery performance has been characterised in serum (n=5, range 80–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81–100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (n=5, range 80–89%, average 84%), with dilution linearity data for the same sample types at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions.
