Human Caspase 14 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Caspase-14 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The procedure employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) bearing a capture antibody specific for Caspase-14; standards or samples are added, captured analyte is detected with a biotinylated anti-Caspase-14 antibody, and HRP-Avidin is used to catalyse TMB substrate into a coloured product read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The manufacturer reports a sensitivity of 0.106 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml. Spike-and-recovery performance is reported for serum (average 91%; range 83–100%, n=5), EDTA plasma (average 94%; range 90–98%, n=5) and heparin plasma (average 95%; range 89–102%, n=5), with linear dilution behaviour observed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in the same matrices. Kit components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
