Human Caspase 1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Caspase-1 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm. Total assay time is 4 h 30 m.

The reported product range is 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.109 ng/ml. Detection is colourimetric, using an HRP-Avidin conjugate, a Biotinylated Anti-Caspase-1 Antibody, a TMB substrate and an acidic stop solution, with the density of the resulting yellow product proportional to the amount of Caspase-1 captured in each well. Reported average recovery values are 91% from serum (range 80%–102%, n=5), 90% from EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%, n=5) and 84% from heparin plasma (range 80%–89%, n=5). Linearity data are reported for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Components supplied include a Pre-Coated 96 Well Microplate (12 x 8 well strips), Lyophilized Standard (2 vials), Detection Solution A (120 μl), Detection Solution B (120 µl), Wash Buffer 30X (20 ml), Sample Dilution Buffer (45 ml), TMB Substrate (9 ml), Stop Solution (6 ml) and Plate Sealers (5 adhesive strips).
