Human Carnitine Palmitoyltransferase 2, Mitochondrial ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human CPT2 (Carnitine Palmitoyltransferase 2, Mitochondrial) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The kit is reactive with human samples and is provided on a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) format.

The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, in which CPT2 is captured by an immobilised antibody and detected using a biotinylated anti-CPT2 antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate, and TMB substrate, yielding a colourmetric product read at 450 nm. Sensitivity is 0.082 ng/ml, with an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated, and the kit is intended for use with a colorimetric microplate reader.
