Human Carnitine Palmitoyltransferase 1B, Muscle ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com offers a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Carnitine Palmitoyltransferase 1B (CPT1B) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The kit is reactive with human samples and is intended for research use only.

The assay demonstrates a sensitivity of <0.084 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml. Detection is colorimetric, performed on a pre-coated 96-well microplate with absorbance read at 450 nm using a microplate reader. The total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes, and kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.

The kit employs a sandwich immunoassay in which an anti-CPT1B capture antibody is pre-coated on the plate, followed by sequential incubation with a biotinylated anti-CPT1B detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a yellow product proportional to CPT1B concentration. Reported average recovery values from the manufacturer are 91% for serum (range 83–100%, n=5), 96% for EDTA plasma (range 90–103%, n=5), and 95% for heparin plasma (range 89–102%, n=5).
