Human Carnitine Palmitoyltransferase 1A, Liver ELISA Kit

This Antibodies.com sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Carnitine Palmitoyltransferase 1A, Liver (CPT1A) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for CPT1A, and incorporates a biotinylated anti-CPT1A detection antibody together with an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate; the reaction is stopped with an acidic solution and the absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the assay range is 0.781–50 ng/ml and the sensitivity is <0.29 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery has been characterised in serum (average 91%), EDTA plasma (96%) and heparin plasma (95%), and dilution linearity has been demonstrated at sample dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Kit components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used beyond the stated expiration date.
