Human Carboxypeptidase Z ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA (sELISA) kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Carboxypeptidase Z in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips), onto which an antibody specific for Carboxypeptidase Z is immobilised. Standards and test samples are added to the wells and any target present is captured, followed by incubation with a biotinylated anti-Carboxypeptidase Z antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. Detection is achieved using a TMB substrate solution; the enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader with the Carboxypeptidase Z concentration calculated from the standard curve.

The stated detection range is 0.625–40 ng/ml and the sensitivity is 0.226 ng/ml, with an approximate total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes.
