Human Carboxypeptidase N1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) kit from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Carboxypeptidase N1 (CPN1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated microplate and a sandwich immunoassay format using a biotinylated anti-CPN1 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate, with a TMB substrate producing a yellow product whose absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The manufacturer reports an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.107 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery data across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples (n=5 each) give ranges of 80%–102% for serum, 81%–100% for EDTA plasma and 80%–89% for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions in the same sample types. Kit components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
