Human Carbonic Anhydrase II ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA (sELISA) intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Carbonic Anhydrase 2 (CA2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, or other biological fluids. The assay is supplied by Antibodies.com within its Assays and Kits category and uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 × 8 well strips. Detection is colourmetric, read at 450 nm on a microplate reader, with reported sensitivity of 1.34 ng/ml across a product range of 3.12–200 ng/ml.

The workflow runs in approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Standards and samples are captured by an immobilised anti-CA2 antibody; bound analyte is detected with a biotinylated anti-CA2 antibody followed by HRP-avidin and TMB substrate, producing a yellow product whose absorbance is proportional to CA2 concentration. Kit components include lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and plate sealers; components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed.

Reported spike-and-recovery values are: serum 80–102% (average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma 81–100% (average 90%, n=5), and heparin plasma 80–89% (average 84%, n=5). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is provided for serum (87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101%, 92–97%), EDTA plasma (90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101%, 79–108%), and heparin plasma (84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105%, 89–91%).
