Human Carbonic Anhydrase I ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Human Carbonic Anhydrase 1/CA1 ELISA Kit is a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Carbonic Anhydrase 1/CA1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses an antibody specific for Carbonic Anhydrase 1/CA1 pre-coated onto a microplate, with Biotinylated Anti-Carbonic Anhydrase 1/CA1 Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate used for detection. TMB substrate produces a blue colour that changes to yellow upon addition of stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450nm in a microplate reader. The total assay time is 4h 30m.

The kit has a product range of 1.56-100 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.58 ng/ml. Recovery was assessed in serum (n=5) at 80%-102% with an average of 91%, in EDTA plasma (n=5) at 81%-100% with an average of 90%, and in Heparin plasma (n=5) at 80%-89% with an average of 84%. Dilution linearity was characterised across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions for each sample type. The pre-coated 96 well microplate is provided as 12 x 8 well strips, and kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
