Human Calsyntenin 2 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Calsyntenin 2 in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated 96-well microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where Calsyntenin 2 is captured by an immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Calsyntenin 2 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate solution. The resulting blue product changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, and the concentration of Calsyntenin 2 is calculated from the absorbance read at 450 nm on a microplate reader against the standard curve.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 0.059 ng/ml and a working range of 0.156-10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Reading is performed on a colorimetric microplate reader. Spiking recovery values are reported for human serum (n=5) at an average of 91% (range 80%-102%), for EDTA plasma (n=5) at an average of 91% (range 81%-101%), and for heparin plasma (n=5) at an average of 84% (range 80%-89%). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
