Human Calprotectin ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human Calprotectin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a sandwich enzyme immunoassay format in which an antibody specific for Calprotectin has been pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Calprotectin Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and Calprotectin concentration is calculated by reference to the standard curve.

The assay has a product range of 31.2-2000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <13.12 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Recovery in serum (n=5) ranges from 80% to 102% (average 91%), in EDTA plasma (n=5) from 81% to 101% (average 91%), and in heparin plasma (n=5) from 80% to 89% (average 84%). Dilution linearity is demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions, with serum recoveries of 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101%, and 92-97%; EDTA plasma recoveries of 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101%, and 79-108%; and heparin plasma recoveries of 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105%, and 89-91%.
