Human Calcitonin Gene Related Peptide ELISA Kit

CGRP present in samples or standards competes with the immobilized CGRP antigen for binding sites on a Biotinylated Anti-CGRP Antibody. Following incubation and washing, an HRP-Avidin conjugate is added; TMB substrate then produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The density of yellow is inversely proportional to the amount of CGRP present in each sample or standard. Total assay time is 2 hours 30 minutes.

The kit reports a measuring range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <4.26 pg/ml. Reported average recovery values were 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma, and 84% for heparin plasma. Dilutional linearity in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions is also documented.
