Human C4 Binding Protein Alpha ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human C4 Binding Protein Alpha (C4BPA) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with a capture antibody specific for C4BPA, a biotinylated anti-C4BPA detection antibody, and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue product that changes to yellow after the acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm and the C4BPA concentration is calculated from the standard curve.

The kit reports a sensitivity of <0.62 ng/ml, an assay range of 1.56-100 ng/ml, and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Recovery has been validated in serum (n=5, average 91%, range 80%-102%), EDTA plasma (n=5, average 90%, range 81%-100%) and heparin plasma (n=5, average 84%, range 80%-89%). Dilution linearity has been tested at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across the same sample types.

Supplied components include a pre-coated microplate, two vials of lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B (120 µl each), 30X wash buffer (20 ml), sample dilution buffer (45 ml), TMB substrate (9 ml), stop solution (6 ml) and plate sealers. Components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
