A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human CTRP3 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and samples are added to the wells, where CTRP3 is bound by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-CTRP3 antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate are added sequentially. The reaction is visualised with TMB substrate and acidic stop solution, producing a yellow colour whose optical density is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and compared against a standard curve.

The kit has a sensitivity of 0.127 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.312-20 ng/ml, with a total run time of around 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported recovery in spiked samples was 80%-102% for serum (average 91%, n=5), 81%-101% for EDTA plasma (average 91%, n=5) and 80%-89% for heparin plasma (average 84%, n=5). Linearity across dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 was 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101% and 92-97% for serum, 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101% and 79-108% for EDTA plasma, and 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105% and 89-91% for heparin plasma.
