Human Brain Protein 44 Like Protein ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human MPC1 (Brain Protein 44 Like Protein) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate and colourmetric detection. An antibody specific for MPC1 is immobilised on the plate; standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-MPC1 detection antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added and the reaction is stopped with an acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

The reported sensitivity is less than 0.073 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.156-10 ng/ml. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery was evaluated using serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma (n=5 each), with average recovery values of 91% (range 83–100%) for serum, 95% (range 91–99%) for EDTA plasma, and 94% (range 90–99%) for heparin plasma. Linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions across the same sample types.
