Human Brain Abundant, Membrane Attached Signal Protein 1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human BASP1 (Brain Abundant, Membrane Attached Signal Protein 1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. In the sandwich immunoassay workflow, BASP1 in standards or test samples is captured by an immobilized anti-BASP1 antibody, then detected using a biotinylated anti-BASP1 antibody and HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is added and the reaction is stopped with acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader. Total assay time is 4h 30m.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of <0.112 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.312-20 ng/ml. Sample recovery was assessed in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma (n=5 per matrix): serum 80%-102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma 81%-100% (average 90%), and heparin plasma 80%-89% (average 84%). Dilution linearity was also reported at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across the same three matrices.
