Human Bone Morphogenetic Protein 6 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Bone Morphogenetic Protein 6 (BMP6) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm, with a total run time of 4h 30m.

Reported performance includes a sensitivity of 0.053 ng/ml and a quantitative range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. Spiked recovery has been demonstrated in serum (n=5, average 91%, range 80%–102%), EDTA plasma (n=5, average 90%, range 81%–100%) and heparin plasma (n=5, average 84%, range 80%–89%). Linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across each sample matrix. The workflow uses a biotinylated anti-BMP6 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate, with TMB substrate producing a blue colour that turns yellow after addition of the acidic stop solution; the absorbance at 450 nm is then read against the standard curve.
