Human BMP And Activin Membrane Bound Inhibitor Homolog ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human BAMBI/NMA in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips), with samples and standards bound by an immobilised capture antibody, followed by a biotinylated anti-BAMBI/NMA detection antibody, HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The HRP-catalysed reaction yields a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with the density of yellow measured by absorbance at 450 nm and concentration calculated against a standard curve.

Quoted performance figures include an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.064 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery results were: serum (n=5) range 80–102%, average 91%; EDTA plasma (n=5) range 81–100%, average 90%; heparin plasma (n=5) range 80–89%, average 84%. Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 was 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97% for serum; 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108% for EDTA plasma; and 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91% for heparin plasma.
