Human BMP-2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human BMP-2 in cell culture supernatant, serum and plasma. The assay is based on a quantitative sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay technique: a monoclonal antibody specific for BMP-2 is immobilised onto microwells, standards or samples are added, and BMP-2 is captured by a biotin-linked detect antibody. After washing, streptavidin-HRP is introduced and a substrate solution produces a colorimetric read-out measured on a microplate reader after the reaction is stopped with acid.

The kit has been validated for both native and recombinant human BMP-2, with no significant cross-reactivity reported. Reported performance includes a sensitivity of 1.73 pg/ml, an assay range of 15.63 - 1000 pg/ml, and an average recovery of 96% from serum samples. Detection is colorimetric on a microplate platform, reactivity is human, and the kit should be stored at +4°C and not used past the expiration date.
