Human Biliverdin Reductase B ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative in vitro determination of human biliverdin reductase B in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay employs a target-specific antibody pre-coated onto a microplate; standards and samples are added to the wells and bound target is detected using a biotinylated anti-target antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate and a TMB substrate. The resulting colour change is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, and the target concentration is calculated against a standard curve.

Reported sensitivity is 0.124 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml, and total assay time is approximately 4 h 30 min. Average spiked-sample recovery is 91% in serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, n=5) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Kit components are stored at +4 °C or –20 °C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
