Human Biglycan ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Biglycan in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a biotinylated anti-Biglycan detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. Signal is developed using TMB substrate and the optical density read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader, with Biglycan concentration calculated against the standard curve. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. The stated sensitivity is <0.112 ng/ml and the working range is 0.312–20 ng/ml. Reported recovery in serum (n=5) is 80–102% with a mean of 91%; in EDTA plasma, 81–100% with a mean of 90%; and in heparin plasma, 80–89% with a mean of 84%. Dilutional linearity has been assessed for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16.
