Human Big Dynorphin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human ProDynorphin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. The principle is competitive enzyme immunoassay: ProDynorphin in samples or standards competes with immobilised ProDynorphin on the plate for binding sites on a Biotinylated Anti-ProDynorphin Antibody. After washing, an HRP-Avidin conjugate is added and TMB substrate produces a colour change inversely proportional to ProDynorphin concentration, read at 450nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and referenced against a standard curve.

The kit has an assay range of 7.81-500 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <3.4 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 2h 30m. Reported recovery values (n=5) are: Serum average 92% (range 82-102%), EDTA Plasma average 95% (range 91-100%), and Heparin Plasma average 94% (range 88-100%). Dilution linearity is provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Kit components include pre-coated strips, lyophilised standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers, with components stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past expiration.
