Description

The Antibodies.com Human BH3 Interacting Domain Death Agonist ELISA Kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Bid in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) format, with a Bid-specific capture antibody, a biotinylated anti-Bid detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. Signal is generated with TMB substrate and read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader, with the resulting absorbance proportional to Bid concentration and calculated against a standard curve.

Reported performance characteristics include a product range of 0.312–20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.115 ng/ml. Sample recovery (n=5) is given as 86–100% (average 93%) for serum, 87–101% (average 94%) for EDTA plasma and 88–100% (average 94%) for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is also reported for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

Reactivity is specific to human samples. Kit components are shipped and stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, freeze/thaw cycles should be avoided, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
