Human Beta-2-Microglobulin ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human beta 2 microglobulin in serum, plasma, urine and other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for beta 2 microglobulin, followed by a biotinylated anti-beta 2 microglobulin detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. Signal is developed with TMB substrate, yielding a yellow product that is read colorimetrically at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

Reported sensitivity is 0.17 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.39–25 ng/ml and a total run time of 4 h 30 min. In spike-and-recovery testing, average recoveries were 91% in serum (n=5), 96% in EDTA plasma (n=5) and 94% in heparin plasma (n=5). Dilution linearity has been validated for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions.
