Human Beta-1,4-N-Acetyl Galactosaminyl Transferase 2 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human beta-1,4 N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase 2 in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a biotinylated detection antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate and a TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised by catalysis to produce a blue product that changes to yellow after addition of an acidic stop solution, and the absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with concentration calculated against a standard curve.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.113 ng/ml. Spike-and-recovery across five replicates yielded averages of 91% in serum (80–102%), 91% in EDTA plasma (81–101%) and 84% in heparin plasma (80–89%). Dilution linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

The kit is supplied with a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
