Human Baculoviral IAP Repeat Containing Protein 6 ELISA Kit

The Antibodies.com Human BIRC6/APOLLON ELISA Kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human BIRC6/APOLLON (Baculoviral IAP Repeat Containing Protein 6) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids.

The assay uses an antibody specific for BIRC6/APOLLON pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where the target is captured by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-BIRC6/APOLLON Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to produce a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; the intensity of the yellow colour, read at 450 nm in a microplate reader, is proportional to the BIRC6/APOLLON concentration, which is calculated from a standard curve. The assay is colourimetric and runs on a pre-coated microplate in 12 x 8 well strips with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Reported sensitivity is <0.107 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.312-20 ng/ml. Reported average recoveries (n=5) are 91% for serum (range 80%-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%-89%). Dilution linearity (1:2 to 1:16) is reported for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across n=5 samples. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
