Human ATP Binding Cassette Transporter C8 ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human ATP Binding Cassette Transporter C8 (SUR1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm.

The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. An antibody specific for SUR1 is pre-coated onto the plate; standards and samples are added and SUR1 is captured by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-SUR1 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualize the reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of SUR1 captured. Total assay time is 4 h 30 min.

Quoted performance characteristics include a sensitivity of <0.128 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml. Reported average recovery values across n=5 samples are 91% for serum (range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Dilution linearity data are reported for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions.
