From Antibodies.com, this sandwich-format ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative in vitro determination of human ATP Binding Cassette Transporter A1 (ABCA1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. It is reactive with human samples and is suitable for cell lysate and tissue homogenate workflows.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, a biotinylated anti-ABCA1 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. Signal is generated by TMB substrate and quantified by reading absorbance at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. Total assay time is 4 h 30 m.

Manufacturer-quoted performance includes a standard range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.053 ng/ml. Sample recovery has been characterised in serum (range 80–102%, mean 91%), EDTA plasma (81–100%, mean 90%) and heparin plasma (80–89%, mean 84%) across the sample set tested. Kit components are supplied for storage at +4 °C or −20 °C as instructed in the protocol.
