Human Arylalkylamine-N-Acetyltransferase ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Arylalkylamine N-Acetyltransferase (AANAT) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The 96-well microtiter plate is pre-coated with an antibody specific for AANAT; standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a biotinylated anti-AANAT detection antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and concentration calculated by reference to the standard curve.

The quantitative sandwich assay has a total run time of 4h 30m, a sensitivity of <0.6 U/ml, and a working range of 1.56–100 U/ml. Validation across neat and diluted serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples (n=5 each) showed recovery ranges of 80%–102% (average 91%) for serum, 81%–100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma, and 80%–89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. The kit is for use with human samples only.
