Human Arginase II ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com supplies this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Arg2 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. An antibody specific for Arg2 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate configured as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and samples are added to the wells, the captured Arg2 is bound by a Biotinylated Anti-Arg2 Antibody, and the signal is developed using an HRP-Avidin conjugate with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and the concentration is calculated against the standard curve. The assay range is 3.12–200 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 1.15 ng/ml, the total protocol completes in 4h 30m, and kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.

Reported mean recovery values (n=5) are 92% for serum (range 85%–100%), 94% for EDTA plasma (85%–103%) and 93% for heparin plasma (87%–99%). Linearity assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions (n=5) gave ranges of 75–104%, 90–98%, 82–104% and 84–99% for serum; 95–102%, 83–110%, 85–93% and 89–106% for EDTA plasma; and 72–102%, 91–95%, 92–105% and 82–104% for heparin plasma.
