Human Arachidonate-15-Lipoxygenase ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com for the quantitative in vitro determination of human Arachidonate 15 Lipoxygenase in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The 96-well microplate is pre-coated with an antibody specific for the target. Standards and samples are added to the wells, where the analyte is captured by the immobilised antibody, followed by a biotinylated anti-target detection antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate solution. The resulting colour change is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and the analyte concentration is calculated against a standard curve.

The assay has a reported range of 1.56-100 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.57 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery has been evaluated in serum (average 91%, range 83%-100%, n=5), EDTA plasma (average 94%, range 90%-98%, n=5) and heparin plasma (average 95%, range 89%-102%, n=5), and linearity has been examined across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed in the protocol, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
