Human Arachidonate-12-Lipoxygenase ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human 12 Lipoxygenase/ALOX12 (Arachidonate 12 Lipoxygenase) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, using an antibody specific for the target pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-12 Lipoxygenase/ALOX12 Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate; TMB substrate is then used to visualise the reaction, producing a yellow colour proportional to target concentration that is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

The assay has a sensitivity of 0.116 ng/ml and a product range of 0.312–20 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 h 30 min, and detection is colorimetric. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
