Human Aquaporin 8 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Aquaporin 8 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, serum, EDTA plasma, heparin plasma, or other biological fluids. The assay employs a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Aquaporin 8. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Aquaporin 8 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of the stop solution. The absorbance at 450 nm is proportional to the amount of Aquaporin 8 captured and is quantified against a standard curve.

The kit reports a sensitivity of <0.107 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.312-20 ng/ml, with colourimetric detection on a pre-coated microplate platform. Total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. Reported average recovery ranges are 80%–102% for serum (n=5), 81%–100% for EDTA plasma (n=5), and 80%–89% for heparin plasma (n=5), with dilution linearity data provided across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions for the same sample types.
