Human Aquaporin 5 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human Aquaporin 5 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The procedure employs a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an Aquaporin 5-specific antibody, a biotinylated anti-Aquaporin 5 detection antibody, and an HRP-avidin conjugate. Captured analyte is visualised using TMB substrate and quantified by measuring the optical density at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The reported assay range is 0.312–20 ng/ml, with a sensitivity of <0.141 ng/ml and a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Based on n=5 samples per matrix, average recovery was 91% in serum (range 80–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%), and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
