Human Aquaporin 3, Gill Blood Group ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Aquaporin 3 (Gill Blood Group) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The kit uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Aquaporin 3; standards and test samples are added to the wells and captured target is detected using a biotinylated anti-Aquaporin 3 antibody followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, producing a yellow product that is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The reported assay range is 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.126 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Spike-and-recovery testing on five samples of each matrix gave average recoveries of 91% for serum (range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (81–100%), and 84% for heparin plasma (80–89%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 produced ranges of 74–107% for serum, 79–108% for EDTA plasma, and 82–105% for heparin plasma. Kit components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed and should not be used past the indicated expiration date.
